Research groups and laboratories

Several research groups have been formed in the department of geography.

The chair of geoinformatics and cartography includes laboratory of geoinformatics and cartography which is member of the Association of Geographic Information Laboratories for Europe (AGILE).

The chair of human geography and regional planning includes active laboratory of mobility studies interwoven with the research company Positium LBS, and laboratory of urban and population studies. Also, the chair has a research group of cultural geography, group of regional planning and resource use, and those of transportation geography and economic geography.

The chair of physical geography and landscape ecology includes clearly distinguishable research groups of ecotechnology – environmental microbiology and greenhouse gases. Also, there is a numerous group in climatology studies.
